Christ's Death's Infinite Worth for Us (Family Worship lesson in 2Samuel 24:17–25)
Why the extended interaction and negotiation about the site and the sacrifice? Pastor leads his family in today’s “Hopewell @Home” passage. 2Samuel 24:17–25 prepares us for the evening sermon on the coming Lord’s Day. In these nine verses, the Holy Spirit teaches us that God’s hand was against Christ on account of our sin, that God paid an infinite cost for this sacrifice, and that God has accepted this sacrifice to remove from us our guilt and punishment and to listen to our prayers.(click here to DOWNLOAD mp3/pdf files of this lesson)

God, in Christ, Demonstrating His Love for His Enemies (2021.10.10 Morning Sermon in Luke 23:26–34)
Luke's account of the crucifixion focuses uniquely on the astonishing love of Jesus for His enemies—general, sympathetic love in goodness to all His enemies, and especially specific and saving love to those enemies whom He had elected in everlasting love, and for whom He was being crucified. Amazing love!(click audio title within player for a page where you can download mp3/pdf files of this sermon)

The One Man's Obedience (Family Worship in Romans 5:12–21)
How can it be fair for Adam to sin and
we be punished (or for we to sin and Christ be punished)? Pastor leads his family in today’s
“Hopewell @Home” passage. Romans 5:12–21 prepares us for first portion of
public worship on the coming Lord’s Day, showing that we are singing God’s
thoughts after Him in “O Fountain of Unceasing Grace.” In these ten verses of Sacred
Scripture, we marvel at Jesus’s obedience and the grace that comes to us as a
gift thereby.
